Position Overview

Goode Learning is seeking an Arabic-speaking Teacher-Tutor to provide in-home, 1:1 instruction for a Grade 5 student.

The successful candidate will be fluent in both English and Arabic, enabling them to effectively communicate with both the student and family while delivering instruction in accordance with the Ontario Curriculum.

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys individualized instruction, differentiated teaching, and building strong relationships with students and families.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting students requiring:

- Literacy intervention
- Executive functioning support
- Mathematics instruction
- Grade 5 curriculum across core subject areas
- Confidence building and learning strategies

Key Responsibilities As a Teacher-Tutor at Goode Learning, you will:

- Deliver individualized, one-on-one instruction in the student's home
- Develop engaging lessons based on assessment data and student needs




- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning profiles
- Support literacy, numeracy, and curriculum expectations across subjects
- Teach executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, time management, and study strategies
- Monitor student progress and maintain communication with the Goode Learning team
- Build positive, team-oriented relationships with students and families
- Foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess:

- Fluency in both Arabic and English (required)
- Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
- 1+ years of classroom teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction
- Experience with literacy intervention and executive functioning strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort using educational technology
- Flexibility, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

- Special Education Part 1 or Specialist
- Reading/Literacy Specialist AQ
- ESL or multilingual teaching experience
- Experience working with multilingual families
