Land Acknowledgement

Street Culture Project respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 4 Territory, the ancestral lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Lakota, Dakota, Nakota, and the traditional homeland of the Métis.

As a youth-serving organization committed to creating safe spaces for youth, staff, and the broader community, we recognize that our commitment to reconciliation must begin within. We are not just visitors or workers here; we are stewards of this land, and we are part of the Treaty relationship.

Lead. Support. Empower.

Are you passionate about creating real, lasting change in the lives of youth? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where every decision can have a meaningful impact? Do you believe leadership is about building people up, not breaking them down?

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

Street Culture Project is hiring a Shift Supervisor to lead our after-hours (evening, weekend, and overnight) frontline transitional housing teams and ensure youth living in our Peer Homes and Shelter receive the care, structure, and connection they deserve.

What You'll Do You'll be at the heart of our Transitional Housing program—supporting and developing Youth Care Workers, coordinating complex schedules, responding to crisis situations, and making sure every shift runs smoothly and reflects our core values.
You'll:
Coach, train, and evaluate staff using trauma-informed and youth-centred approaches, including maintaining Professional Development Plans (PDPs) and conducting weekly check-ins.
Coordinate daily scheduling and coverage across multiple transitional housing locations,

responding to staffing changes and absences in real-time to ensure safe operations.
Act as the leadership bridge between frontline teams and daytime management, ensuring transparent communication and a unified care strategy.
Oversee site safety and quality assurance by conducting regular location walkthroughs, facility checks (cleanliness, maintenance, and pests), and auditing safety equipment like fire extinguishers and AEDs.
Uphold agency standards by spot-checking shift documentation and journals for 100% accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
Lead with empathy and accountability, responding to program crises with a calm, decisive presence and providing post-incident debriefing for your team.

What You Bring This isn't your average desk job. It's hands‐on, emotionally charged, and deeply human.

We're looking for someone with: 2+ years of direct youth care experience (required)

Experience in staff supervision or team leadership (strongly preferred)
A deep commitment to equity, harm reduction, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care
Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
A drive to build others up, improve systems, and hold space for complexity
Additional Requirements Valid SK Driver's License with abstract
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance
Strong time management and documentation skills
Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office

Training in CPR/First Aid, ASIST, Crisis Intervention, or Mental Health First Aid is an asset

Why Work With Us? At Street Culture Project, we're not just a team—we're a movement. We meet youth where they're at and build relationships rooted in trust, accountability, and care. You'll be part of a community that believes change is possible and works for it every day.

SCP is committed to reflect the diversity of the youth we serve and fully support inclusivity in the workplace. We strongly encourage Indigenous applicants to consider this opportunity.
