Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tilt Deck/Lowbed Operator to join our transportation/towing team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tilt deck and lowbed trailers to transport heavy equipment, materials, and supplies across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure efficient loading, unloading, and transportation of construction assets, contributing to the timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate tilt deck and lowbed trailers to transport heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and concrete finishing equipment.
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other securing devices to prevent shifting during transit.
- Must be able to drive an 18 speed manual transmission semi truck.
- Assist with loading, unloading and recovering vehicles involved in collisions.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to schedule deliveries and pickups efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of transportation logs, inspection reports,



and delivery records.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and commercial driving.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge of trailers, hydraulics, and heavy equipment operation.
- Proven trucking experience with familiarity in vehicle tie down, load securing, and winter driving.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and skid steer.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (Class 1) with a clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to perform detailed pre-trip inspections and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
