We are seeking a motivated and skilled Tile Installer to join our dynamic team in Squamish and Whistler. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality tile surfaces in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will help transform spaces, creating beautiful and functional environments for our clients.

Responsibilities

- Measure and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine tile layout and installation plans
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar
- Use hand tools such as trowels, cutters, and drills to cut, shape, and install tiles with precision
- Install flooring, wall tiles, backsplashes, and other tiled surfaces according to specifications
- Ensure proper caulking around edges and joints for a seamless finish and water resistance
- Read blueprints accurately to ensure tiles are placed correctly according to design plans
- Collaborate with carpenters, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and quality standards




- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to meet safety and craftsmanship standards

Experience

- Proven construction experience with a focus on tile installation or related trades such as carpentry or handyman work
- Familiarity with using hand tools for exact cutting, shaping, and setting tiles
- Experience in flooring installation, including preparation of sub-surfaces for tile adherence
- Ability to read blueprints confidently and translate plans into accurate physical work
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for finishing touches that ensure durability and water resistance
- Prior experience working in residential or commercial projects is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges during installation
