Job type

Part time / on-call from 4-20 hours per week with a 3-hour minimum with no overnight driving. All local driving within 500km with minimal border crossings, no overnighters, no long hauls.

Wage: $25.00 / hour with 3-hour minimum

This is an on-call position 1-3 trips per week on average

Summary

We are seeking a part time, on-call DZ Truck Driver to join our team in Windsor, Ontario.

Prerequisites:

Experience required driving a manual transmission straight truck

Chaining down steel dies, coils, molds and plates up to 45,000 lbs.

D-Z license (minimum) with clean driving abstract

Ability to do minimal, border crossing is required

Responsibilities

- Operate and drive DZ trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials,



ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assist with loading/unloading as needed, utilizing heavy equipment when necessary

Qualifications

- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Solid knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English. Preferred

Pay: $25.00 per hour
