Empower student success at the University of Waterloo as an Accommodation Consultant, focused on non-disability accommodations. Your expertise will foster equitable access across campus environments. In this full-time, permanent role, you'll independently assess and implement accommodation plans based on human rights principles.
With a focus on legal compliance and procedural fairness, you'll serve as a subject matter expert in navigating complex requests related to creed, family status, and pregnancy needs. The position uniquely balances academic and workplace contexts while requiring no clinical assessments. Key Responsibilities:
- Review non-disability accommodation applications thoroughly
- Develop and implement individualized accommodation plans
- Provide authoritative advisory support to campus stakeholders
- Ensure accurate documentation of accommodations and communications
- Identify and resolve complex accommodation cases collaboratively Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, or related field
- 2-4 years experience in human rights or case management
- Expertise in interpreting legislation and policies
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
