Program Details The NVA Canada VT Practicum Program is designed for final‑year veterinary technician students who want real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic workplace. Practicums range from two to eight weeks and cover patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and communication with medical teams and clients.

Responsibilities - Assist veterinarians and RVTs in patient care - Perform laboratory procedures and process samples - Support anesthesia and surgical assistance tasks - Participate in radiology imaging and interpretation - Improve communication skills with medical teams and clients Eligibility & Stipend Eligible students are those enrolled in an accredited veterinary technician program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year.
