The Role The Vice President, Finance will lead the day-to-day finance function, overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, team leadership, and operational finance across the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, developing teams, and partnering cross-functionally in a fast-paced workplace. The role also offers long-term growth into a broader strategic finance leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Reporting

- Lead month-end close, financial reporting, accounting operations, and inventory costing
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting
- Deliver management reporting, KPI tracking, and variance analysis
- Maintain strong financial controls and scalable finance processes

Leadership & Business Partnership

- Lead and develop the finance team
- Partner with operations, sales, purchasing,



and warehousing to support business performance
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and margin enhancement

Process Improvement & Cash Flow

- Drive process improvements, automation, and ERP optimization initiatives
- Improve visibility into working capital and cash flow performance
- Support inventory, receivables, and payables optimization

First 12 Months – Key Expectations

- Fully assume ownership of all internal finance functions.
- Establish a high-performing and clearly structured finance team.
- Improve reporting quality, visibility, and insight.
- Identify and begin implementing key process improvements.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across the business.

Qualifications

- CPA designation required
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong background in controllership and operational finance.
- Experience in distribution, retail, or product-based environments preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Syspro experience is an asset).
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
