Piano and Vocal Instructor

West End Music School is seeking a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic piano and vocal instructor to join our teaching team.

Established in 2011, West End Music School provides welcoming, professional music instruction to students of different ages and experience levels. We are looking for an instructor who enjoys helping students build strong musical skills while keeping lessons positive, engaging, and rewarding.

Responsibilities

- Teach private piano and vocal lessons to children, teens, and adults
- Adapt lessons to each student’s age, interests, ability, and goals
- Help students develop proper technique, musicianship, confidence, and performance skills
- Prepare students for recitals, examinations, or auditions when appropriate
- Maintain consistent communication with students, parents, and school administration
- Provide dependable attendance for an established weekly teaching schedule
- Maintain a professional, encouraging, and organized teaching environment

Qualifications

- Strong piano and vocal skills
- Music degree, diploma, certification, or equivalent teaching and performance experience
- Previous teaching experience is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with younger and beginner students
- Patient,



personable, reliable, and professional
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule throughout the school year
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- A current vulnerable-sector police record check may be required

Schedule

- Part-time
- Primarily weekday afternoons and evenings
- Additional hours may become available as enrollment grows
- Must be able to commute to location without issue

Compensation

- Starting at $25.00 per hour
- Pay may increase based on qualifications, experience, student retention, and demand

West End Music School provides the teaching location, instruments, scheduling, administration, and an established student base. The successful candidate should be prepared to provide or recommend appropriate lesson materials when required.
