Company Description New Era Player Development is an organization dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential through individualized guidance and structured development programs with the ultimate goal of obtaining athletes post-secondary athletic scholarship opportunities. Advisors work closely with players and families to align training, competition, and academic goals.
Role Description The Female Volleyball Advisor is a permanent role focused on providing expert guidance to Female volleyball players and their families. Responsibilities include:
- Connecting with Athletes, Athlete parents, and coaches for the purpose of selling the benefits of working with NEPD to achieve their academic and athletic goals;
- Attending games and showcases for the purposes of meeting recent potential clients as well as to meet with current clients;
- Conducting virtual consultations with athletes, evaluating their current skill level and competitive environment, and recommending tailored development plans and training resources
- Additional tasks include advising on club, school, and collegiate pathways, helping athletes set realistic goals, and maintaining clear communication with players and guardians;
- The role also involves documenting recommendations,
tracking progress over time, and collaborating with other advisors or trainers to ensure a consistent and supportive experience.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, positional play, and competitive structures (club, school, and collegiate levels).
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or advising volleyball players, preferably at youth, high school, or collegiate levels is an asset;
- Ability to analyze game footage and provide clear, constructive performance feedback.
- Excellent communication skills for virtual consultations, including the ability to explain complex concepts in accessible terms.
- Comfort using remote communication tools and digital platforms to manage sessions, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for athletes of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability in managing schedules, reports, and ongoing athlete relationships.
