Dajcor is seeking a VP, Commercial Growth & Marketing to lead our enterprise commercial strategy across our Chatham, Ontario and Chavies, Kentucky facilities.
This is a hybrid role, open to candidates based in Canada or the United States. Given the cross-border, multi-site nature of the position, we're ideally looking for someone based near or willing to be regularly in office at our Chatham, Ontario or Chavies, Kentucky facility, with regular travel across both.
This role is Dajcor’s enterprise commercial leader, accountable for profitable growth across both the Chatham and Kentucky facilities. This leader will connect market opportunity, customer strategy, marketing, pricing, capacity and operational capability into one disciplined North American commercial plan.
The role is designed to build a balanced portfolio: high-volume, long-term programs that optimize core assets and create operating leverage, alongside smaller, higher-margin opportunities that reward Dajcor’s responsiveness, technical capability and breadth of value-added services.
Enterprise commercial strategy
- Develop and execute a unified North American commercial strategy for both facilities, aligned with Dajcor’s growth plan, available capacity, target margins and investment priorities.
- Translate market intelligence, customer needs and Dajcor’s capabilities into clear choices on priority sectors, geographies, customers, program types and routes to market.
- Maintain an active, risk-adjusted growth portfolio that balances large strategic programs with smaller, high-margin and faster-cycle business.
- Serve as the senior commercial voice on the Executive Leadership Team, bringing forward opportunities, risks, resource requirements and fact-based recommendations.
Sales leadership and customer growth
- Lead,
coach and hold accountable the sales and sales-support organization across Canada and the United States; establish clear coverage, goals, pipeline expectations and operating rhythms.
- Build executive-level relationships with strategic customers and prospects, while creating a consistent customer-management discipline throughout the team.
- Own customer segmentation and account planning, including strategies to retain, grow, recover or exit relationships based on strategic fit, profitability, risk and capacity utilization.
- Guide complex proposals, commercial negotiations and long-term agreements in partnership with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality and Legal resources.
- Create a rigorous approach to opportunity qualification so commercial effort is focused on programs Dajcor can win, launch successfully and serve profitably.
Marketing and market development
- Set a modern marketing vision that positions Dajcor as a technically capable, responsive, single-source aluminum extrusion and value-added manufacturing partner.
- Build targeted campaigns and content for priority sectors and buyer groups, generating qualified opportunities rather than awareness alone.
- Strengthen Dajcor’s digital presence, thought leadership, industry participation, customer stories, technical content and lead-generation capabilities.
- Develop differentiated go-to-market approaches for large-program buyers and for smaller customers that value speed, engineering support, flexibility and value-added services.
- Establish clear marketing performance measures,
including qualified leads, target-account engagement, pipeline contribution, conversion and return on investment.
Commercial analytics and performance
- Create a reliable commercial data model and performance dashboard spanning bookings, pipeline, win rate, pricing, margin, volume, mix, retention, share of wallet, forecast accuracy and customer concentration.
- Use customer-, product- and program-level economics to improve pricing, quoting, contract terms and resource allocation.
- Connect sales forecasts and pipeline probability to plant capacity, operational constraints, capital requirements and financial planning.
- Lead monthly and quarterly commercial reviews, converting data into actions, owners and timelines.
- Improve CRM adoption, data quality and transparency so customer knowledge becomes an enterprise asset rather than individual knowledge.
Cross-functional execution and leadership
- Partner closely with site General Managers and functional leaders to ensure commercial commitments reflect operational capability, launch readiness, quality requirements and delivery expectations.
- Champion a customer-first culture while maintaining appropriate margin, working-capital, credit, contractual and operational discipline.
- Develop talent and succession depth within sales, marketing and sales support; set a high standard for preparation, responsiveness, collaboration and accountability.
