Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting.

The Forklift

Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth warehouse distribution processes and ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse
- Safely handle heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with order picking and inventory organization using warehouse management systems
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Support warehouse distribution activities by efficiently managing stock locations and storage areas
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill daily operational goals





Qualifications

- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and basic troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures
- Valid forklift certification/license preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates
- Basic understanding of warehouse distribution processes and inventory control
