Description At Cheticamp Boatbuilders, we are looking for a Welder/fabricator/mechanic to join our team.

Location: 80 Hache Road, Cheticamp Nova Scotia

Duration: Full time, permanent position.

Duties And Responsibilities

- Transfer detailed sketches and AutoCAD designs to the fabrication process.
- Plan, fabricate, and weld intricate boat components.
- Install newly fabricated/repaired components to boats
- Repair components aboard boats
- Operate mobile welding machine aboard vessels
- Capable and comfortable driving company vehicles while towing and carrying mobile gear
- Will require cross training in fiberglass and painting as project schedules demand.

Skills And Requirements

- Competent and confident in the 4 primary forms of welding (MIG/TIG/SMAW/FCAW)
- Capable of physically demanding labour, long hours, and sometimes compromising positions
- Willing to work in confined spaces
- Comfortable and capable of working as a team/tandem/solo

Education

- We require a Red Seal welder, or of a comparable level of experience.
