Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, removal/ installation of mechanical and electrical components . Your expertise will contribute to ensuring safety standards and project specifications are met consistently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and techniques in a fast-paced setting that values craftsmanship, safety, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join metal parts with accuracy and strength.
- Use plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining tools to shape and assemble components.
- Conduct rigging operations to lift, position, and secure heavy materials safely during fabrication processes.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices; perform basic math calculations for dimensions and tolerances.
- Fabricate structural components, or custom assemblies according to project needs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts and cranes as needed for material handling and assembly tasks in a construction or manufacturing setting.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed,
including inspection reports and quality checks.
- Follow safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, schematics, and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining equipment, and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely using cranes or forklifts.
- Prior experience working on agricultural, heavy equipment, trailers structural fabrication is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Mobile repair experience or background in repair industries is highly desirable.
