Duties and Responsibilities

- Fit and weld large industrial lifting equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Assist in mechanical assembly of related technologies
- Skilled in MCAW, FCAW and SAW processes, SMAW
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are always followed
- Complete daily timesheets
- Works independently as well as in a team environment
- Utilizes problem solving skills
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair technology
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on welding/fitting experience in an industrial or heavy equipment manufacturing setting
- Proven proficiency in MCAW, FCAW, SAW, and SMAW welding processes
- Demonstrated ability to read and work from complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols
- Strong understanding of fit-up,



alignment, and fabrication best practices for structural steel or heavy equipment
- Working knowledge of CSA welding standards and workplace safety requirements (WHMIS, fall protection, confined space, as applicable)
- Experience with mechanical assembly considered an asset
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience an asset
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team-based production environment
