Role Description The Woodworking CNC Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in Vaughan, ON. This role involves programming CNC machinery for woodworking projects, translating engineering drawings and CAD models into efficient CNC programs, and optimizing cutting paths for quality and material usage.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project specifications, setting up and testing CNC programs, troubleshooting machining issues, and collaborating with engineering, production, and shop teams to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing. The CNC Programmer will also maintain documentation,



support continuous improvement of machining processes, and help uphold safety and quality standards in the millwork shop.

Qualifications

- Strong CNC programming skills for woodworking applications, including experience with CNC routers and related equipment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and reading technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering documents.
- Knowledge of woodworking materials, millwork construction methods, and fixture manufacturing processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot CNC programs and machine issues, and optimize tooling, feeds, and speeds for quality and productivity.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills to manage multiple projects and revisions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineering, project management, and shop floor personnel.
- Experience in a custom millwork, cabinetry, or fixture manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in CNC programming or manufacturing is preferred.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement in processes and quality.
