The City of Richmond, BC, is seeking an experienced Director of Police Services to guide a large team within the RCMP Detachment. This pivotal role requires strategic planning and effective stakeholder collaboration. Your expertise in community safety and public administration will support the CAO and GM of Community Safety in achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead over 90 full-time employees and 60 Auxiliaries
- Oversee a budget of approximately $90 million
- Develop and implement communication strategies for community issues




- Collaborate on human resources recruitment and training
- Provide strategic advice to City Council on community impacts

Requirements:

- University degree in Public Safety or related field
- At least five years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of RCMP legislation and community safety
- Robust strategic planning and conflict resolution skills
- RCMP Enhanced Security clearance and BC Driver’s License required
