The Oracle Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, validating, and reporting data stored within Oracle databases and Oracle-based business applications. This role supports the data validation between old and new Oracle systems to identify the root cause of the discrepancies(between old and new) and find ways to fix them without impacting other processes.

Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets from Oracle databases to identify discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to come up with solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction processes.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with business users to gather reporting and analytical requirements.
- Monitor data integrity and recommend improvements to data governance practices.
- Support data migration, integration, and transformation initiatives.
- Create and maintain documentation for data models, reports,
and business rules.
- Troubleshoot data issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Leverage AI wherever possible to speed up the data discrepancy analysis.
- Assist in developing performance metrics and KPI reporting frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and relational database concepts.
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis.
- Strong communication verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with business users in business-friendly language.
- Oil and gas industry experience.
- Work with general direction and takes ownership of deliverables.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Informatica experience is preferred.
- Backend application development.
- Familiarity with data integration technologies.
- Understanding of data governance and master data management.
- Knowledge of Agile project methodologies.
