Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Expatriate Tax Services team in Montreal. The successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and training to the team in the preparation of Canadian and US individual tax returns.


• Review Canadian and US individual income tax returns.


• Deliver day‑to‑day expatriate tax advice, including queries on items such as individual relocations, payroll benefit taxation, and reporting.


• Conduct additional expatriate tax consulting duties, such as researching income‑tax issues and reviewing memoranda or letters in the area of executive compensation, global equity plans, policy design, and other expatriate tax issues.


• Work closely with the Partner in charge of the practice to develop and support the team.


• Explore future business opportunities with partners across Canada with respect to their clients.


• Engage in business‑development initiatives to further grow the practice.

Experience and Education

• Professional CPA designation.


• Seven or more years of professional experience, with a significant portion specializing in expatriate tax.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; French as an asset.


• Ability to collaborate with team members nationally.


• Interest in training and developing team members.


• Bilingual in English and French is required for this position.
