The MR Technologist is integral in the provision of safe, high-quality care for the MRI patients while creating a safe environment for staff, family members, physicians, and volunteers. Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular Diagnostics, and guided by the MRI Charge Technologist, the MRI Technologist will be responsible for (a) maintaining the safe operation of equipment; (b) upholding allpolicies and procedures of the department and the organization; (c) providing safe, quality care and services to our patients; and, (d) participating in quality and safety initiatives, (e)
other duties as assigned.RequirementsEducation and ExperienceCurrent registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of OntarioSuccessful graduate from an accredited magnetic resonance programSuccessfully completed placements as part of an accredited magnetic resonance programCertificate/formal training in contrast administration (including IV insertion and the use of a power injector)Current Basic Life Support certificationDemonstrated regular work attendance.Skills and AbilitiesMust demonstrate applied knowledge of safety protocols surrounding access to the MRI suite by patients and external personnelMust show evidence of maintaining clinical competence through continuing education.Must exhibit excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills and abilities.Must have a desire to learn and collaborate within a team workplace.Must be an advocate for patients, staff and the department.#J-18808-Ljbffr
