We seek a highly skilled Civil Mining Engineer as an Independent Contractor to influence diverse underground mining projects. Your expertise in design and project execution will drive optimal mining practices.
In this role, youll be responsible for inspecting mining sites, directing engineering efforts, and ensuring project compliance with applicable regulations. Youll coordinate with multiple teams to produce comprehensive technical documentation and align with safety codes in all operations, enhancing productivity and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect new and existing mining sites for extraction efficiency
• Provide comprehensive mining design and engineering services
• Oversee mining documentation and engineering drawings
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and legal safety requirements
• Develop mining equipment specifications and reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering required; P.Eng. preferred
• 15+ years of related engineering experience
• Proficiency in underground mining design tools
• Robust detail orientation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
