This specialist neuro-rehabilitation service provides inpatient rehabilitation for adults with acquired and progressive neurological conditions, including brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other complex neurological disorders. Working as part of a regional neuro-rehabilitation network, the service delivers intensive, person-centered rehabilitation through a multidisciplinary team approach, supporting patients in maximizing independence and achieving the best possible outcomes.
The service is currently expanding its specialist inpatient rehabilitation capacity and plays a key role in providing Level 2 regional neuro-rehabilitation care, working closely with acute hospitals, community neuro-rehabilitation teams, and national specialist rehabilitation services.
Purpose of the Role
The Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine will lead the delivery and development of specialist neuro-rehabilitation services, providing clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will support the ongoing expansion of the service,
contribute to the development of rehabilitation pathways across the regional network, and help ensure patients receive timely access to high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation care.
