Job Title

Tenure‑track Professor in the Department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Management (SEM) at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta. Start date July 1 2027 (or soon thereafter). Proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach mandatory courses in strategy, entrepreneurship, or management to undergraduate and graduate students.


• Conduct research, publish in leading academic journals, and build an active, sustainable research program.


• Supervise graduate students and contribute to the PhD program.


• Engage with the academic and professional community and support the School’s research and teaching mission.

Qualifications

• PhD in strategy, entrepreneurship, management, or a closely related discipline (must be completed by an agreed‑upon date if not yet earned).


• Demonstrated potential for publishing top‑level research relevant to the discipline.


• Evidence of teaching excellence.






• Experience in securing research grants is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

Salary commensurate with qualifications, competitive with similar research‑focused business schools. A comprehensive benefits package is provided in accordance with Schedule A of the collective agreement.
