Reporting to the Vice President Patient Experience, Health Integration, Chief Nursing & Health Disciplines Executive, the Director provides leadership for the Quality, Risk, Patient Safety, and Interprofessional Practice.
The Director will provide internal expertise, leadership, and oversight for the planning, development, and execution of functions in the areas of Quality, Risk Management, Legal, Ethics, Research, Patient Safety, Clinical Informatics and Interprofessional Skilled Practice.
Provides strategic and operational planning leadership for the program, including budget development and monitoring, program growth, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with organizational priorities. Supports quality improvement, patient safety, and system partnerships by translating corporate objectives into program‑specific goals and initiatives.
Develops and supports program standards, objectives, and committees that align with the organization’s vision, mission, and values. Maintains effective relationships with internal teams, partner hospitals, professional organizations, and external stakeholders, and participates in organizational on‑call responsibilities as assigned.
Provides leadership, guidance, and subject matter expertise across academic partnerships, clinical informatics, quality, risk, legal, patient safety, and staff development initiatives. Monitors program performance, supports committees and partnerships, mentors staff, and keeps senior leadership informed of key issues, risks, and needs.
Leads function‑specific strategic and operational planning aligned with organizational priorities,
including service delivery models, annual work‑plans, performance indicators, risk management, and cross‑functional initiatives. Provides oversight for emergency planning and ensures policies, procedures, and response plans are reviewed and updated as required.
Advances evidence‑based care and interprofessional practice through policy development, practice standards, education, orientation, simulation, and ongoing environmental scanning. Provides oversight for document management, educators, the Nurse‑Led Outreach Program, and wound care supports across the organization.
Leads the organization’s quality, accreditation, enterprise risk management, patient safety, ethics, research, and legal support activities, including quality improvement planning and required reporting. Reviews standards and risk frameworks, supports litigation and case reviews, promotes safe care environments, and identifies opportunities for service improvement.
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
$160,602 - $188,955 annually
