What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications that meet the needs of our clients and users.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications and actionable tasks.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure software reliability and facilitate continuous integration and deployment.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our software development processes.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation for software applications and systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth through knowledge sharing and guidance.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability.
- Engage in Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups,
and retrospectives to ensure project alignment and progress.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on software features to enhance user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with a robust focus on web and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, and experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.
- Previous experience in a startup environment or fast-paced tech company.
- Understanding of security best practices in software development.
