We are looking for a hands-on, client-facing Senior QA Manager to own end-to-end multi-product test strategies across web, mobile, API, and emerging surfaces. You will lead distributed QA engineering teams across Canada, India, and other geographies. By adopting an AI-first testing approach, you will leverage AI-augmented tools for self-healing tests, test generation, and AI-feature evaluations to maximize coverage, velocity, and quality governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Strategy & Quality Governance

- Multi-Product Ownership: Formulate and manage functional, regression, exploratory, and non-functional test strategies (performance, security, accessibility, resilience).
- Quality Gates: Establish and enforce entry/exit criteria, coverage targets, and key metrics (defect density, escape rate, first-time-pass, MTTR).
- Compliance & Environments: Strategy for test-data management and compliance (PIPEDA, WCAG 2.2 AA, Ontario AODA, Quebec Law 25).

2. Hands-On Test Automation & Execution

- Framework Development: Design automation frameworks, review test code, and model complex scenarios hands-on.
- Web Automation: Modern frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Mobile Automation: Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso across real-device cloud farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest).
- API & Integration: REST/GraphQL automation using Postman, REST Assured, Karate, or Pact.
- Non-Functional Testing: Performance (k6, JMeter, Gatling), Accessibility (axe-core), and Visual Regression (Applitools, Percy).
- Emerging Surfaces: Drive testing for conversational/agent UIs, voice/wearables, embedded, and IoT.

3. AI-First Testing & AI Quality Assurance

- AI-Augmented QA: Integrate self-healing frameworks (Mabl, Testim, Applitools Eyes) and LLM-assisted test authoring (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor).
- AI Feature Validation: Run prompt testing, red-teaming, PII validation, guardrails, and build LLM-eval pipelines in CI (Braintrust, Langfuse, Ragas, DeepEval, Promptfoo).

4. Leadership & Client Coordination





- Distributed Team Management: Manage, hire, ramp, and mentor onshore/offshore engineers across 8–10 hour time zone differences.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the onsite face of quality. Conduct ceremonies, present QA plans, run incident post-mortems, and manage delivery expectations with client stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 10+ years total in hands-on QA, with at least 5 years in QA Leadership/Management managing multi-product strategy and distributed teams.
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering / Technology in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Location/Work Authorization: Must be physically based in Canada and authorized to work in Canada for onsite client engagement.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with strong executive presence.
- Certifications (Preferred): ISTQB Advanced (Test Manager / Test Automation Engineer).

Highly Desirable / Bonus Skills

- Hands-on exposure to Azure AI Foundry agent evaluation and LLM red-teaming tools (e.g., Lakera, Robust Intelligence).
- Prior experience establishing a QA Center of Excellence (CoE) or Community of Practice.
- Working knowledge of Canadian privacy compliance (PIPEDA, Ontario AODA, Quebec Law 25).
- Bilingualism in English / French is a solid asset for Quebec-facing engagements.
