Markel Canada is seeking a highly motivated Claims Examiner focused on Skilled Liability. You will manage complex claims from initial intake to resolution and deliver fair outcomes. Your role will encompass applying knowledge of Commercial General Liability while supporting brokers and clients with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Professional Lines claims, focusing on E&O;
• Apply knowledge of CGL and related claims
• Ensure compliance with internal protocols and reserving practices
• Maintain detailed file documentation for claims
• Negotiate settlements and manage litigation processes
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of claims handling experience
• Understanding of Professional Liability, E&O;, and CGL
• Ability to work independently and manage complex files
• University degree preferred with CIP designation progress
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
