business development skills and industry expertise to generate and nurture current export business opportunities for Canadian exporters and investors.ResponsibilitiesExpand sales opportunities for Canadian exporters in foreign markets by developing strategies and relationships that align with their business challenges, procurement needs, and processes.Collaborate with EDC’s Global Business Development (GBD) team to execute the business connections program, matching Canadian capabilities with top‑tier foreign buyers and prospects.Facilitate introductions between foreign buyers and Canadian exporters, conduct supply‑chain assessments, provide matchmaking services, and support EDC’s financing and risk‑mitigation solutions.Represent the voice of foreign clients or prospects regarding procurement opportunities to Canadian suppliers.Establish EDC’s brand and create partnership opportunities for Team Canada through strategic partners such as the Trade Commissioner Service, Farm Credit Canada, national and provincial food associations, and financial institutions.Lead Agri‑Food communication to internal and external virtual teams, sector associations, and government partners.Keep internal EDC teams up to date on emerging Canadian technologies, methods, and capabilities, cascading market intelligence in Agri‑Food.Contribute to foreign‑buyer
