In deal recovery management you will focus on helping clients navigate financial distress and recover from challenging business situations, providing strategic advice and solutions to optimise recovery outcomes.As a Restructuring Director, you will work with the partner team to source new restructuring mandates, lead teams to execute advisory & restructuring mandates and support the development and growth of our restructuring team generally.ResponsibilitiesActively participate in and initiate business development activities to source new mandatesHelp develop and implement turnaround or realization plans to maximize recoveries to stakeholdersConduct financial analysis and develop detailed financial and cash‐flow forecasts, including sensitivity analysisApply business acumen to develop or assess business plans that support turnaround initiativesWork with additional advisors to integrate tax, regulatory and legal considerations into turnaround or realization plansCoordinate the execution of distressed M&A or refinancing activitiesAssist in preparing high‐quality presentations and reports for key stakeholdersTake a hands‐on role to manage stakeholders and lead changeRun in‐court and out‐of‐court restructuring or realization processesSupport learning and development of team members through in‐flight learning and regular feedbackQualificationsA professional accounting designation, or an international equivalent, or a similar postgraduate designation demonstrating financial, business or management expertiseEquivalent years of experience in a professional services or business advisory environmentSpecific financial restructuring, operational restructuring or insolvency experience, including advising debtors and creditors and acting pursuant to appointments under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement ActPursuing or holding the CIRP designation by the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) and the Licensed Insolvency Trustee designation by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB)Solid technical skills, including the ability to evaluate financial results and detailed cash‐flow forecastsExcellent analytical, problem‐solving, communication and report‐writing skills, including experience with court reports and complex deliverablesStrong project‐management skills and the ability to lead high‐performing teamsSolid client‐relationship development and business‐development abilitiesWillingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time within Canada and internationallyThe posted salary range for this position is $147,300 – $197,300.We're committed to providing accommodation throughout the application, interview, and employment process. #J-18808-Ljbffr
