Its core competencies include complex mechanisms, body hardware, suspension systems, structural components, and lightweight composite automotive systems.Job SummaryThe IT Security Analyst will play a key role in strengthening Multimatic’s security posture by managing vulnerability and threat management activities, supporting security operations, and leading remediation efforts across infrastructure and applications. This role will work closely with the Manager, IT Security Operations, and broader IT teams to implement security controls, respond to incidents, and drive continuous improvements in the organization’s cybersecurity capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesVulnerability & Threat ManagementManage the full lifecycle of vulnerabilities, from identification to remediation and validationRecommend and track remediation actions from application and infrastructure security testingContinuously monitor CVSS databases and external threat intelligence sourcesPerform threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and risk prioritization based on exposure and attack surfaceMaintain and enhance a formal Threat and Vulnerability Management ProgramSupport and maintain an accurate CMDB / asset inventorySecurity Operations & Incident ResponseParticipate in and support incident detection, investigation, and response activitiesAnalyze security alerts from SIEM, EDR,
and other security toolsPerform regular security assessments on assigned systems and environmentsContribute to attack surface reduction efforts across infrastructure and applicationsSecurity Engineering & ArchitectureImplement and manage preventive and detective security controls/toolsDesign and enhance secure architectures across infrastructure, platforms, and applicationsSupport deployment and optimization of:SIEMEndpoint Detection & Response (EDR)Data Loss Prevention (DLP)Network security controls (IDS/IPS, firewalls)Collaborate with development and engineering teams to embed security into system designPatch & Risk ManagementEnhance patching standards and processes across all assets:Operating systems, applications, mobile devices, network systemsConduct risk assessments and document findings in the risk registerProvide regular reporting on vulnerabilities, remediation status, and risk postureCollaboration & GovernanceWork closely with IT and security teams to understand data flows and system dependenciesPartner with stakeholders to prioritize remediation actionsLead or contribute to security projects from design through deploymentEnsure compliance with industry standards, internal policies, and customer requirementsReporting & IntelligenceDeliver regular reports on vulnerability trends, risks,
and remediation progressTrack evolving threat landscape and provide actionable intelligenceSupport development of a security intelligence capabilityQualifications Required5+ years of experience in IT Security or Security OperationsStrong experience in:Vulnerability management and threat analysisNetwork, OS, and application securitySecurity tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP)Hands-on experience with:Vulnerability scanning and penetration testing toolsThreat hunting and attack methodologiesStrong knowledge of:TCP/IP and protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, FTP, SNMP)Experience in incident response and security operationsProven ability to analyze security alerts and vulnerability dataBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)Desired SkillsInfrastructure and server hardeningSecurity architecture and design in complex environmentsCertificate and key managementIT compliance and regulatory assessmentsExperience leading security projects and initiativesStrong documentation and communication skillsCertifications (Preferred)CISSP, SANS, or equivalent industry certificationsKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize risks based on business impactEffective collaboration and stakeholder managementContinuous learning mindsetLeadership capability within security initiativesAdditional RequirementsMust be legally authorized to work in CanadaWORKING ENVIRONMENTLocation: Onsite.This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
