What you’ll do
- - Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments.
- - Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into their workflows, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- - Automate system configurations and deployments using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
- - Implement security best practices across the infrastructure and application layers to safeguard sensitive data.
- - Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
- - Mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
- - Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems and respond to incidents as they arise.
- - Document processes, configurations, and system architectures to ensure clarity and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential application within Solace.
- - Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Requirements
- - A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role, with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
- - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation tasks.
- - Extensive experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- - Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including DNS, TCP/IP, and HTTP/S.
- - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
- - Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with branching strategies and workflows.
- - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- - Excellent communication skills,
with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- - Experience with serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.
- - Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL, and their management in cloud environments.
- - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello for project management.
- - Previous experience in a startup environment or fast-paced tech company.
