Since day one, SPS has beenintentional about building a culture that is inclusive, respectful andsupportive, with a strong focus on employee wellness and career development.POSITION OVERVIEWSurrey Police Service (SPS) has an exciting opportunity for a Regular Full-Time FacilitiesClerk (Clerk 3) to join our Business & Infrastructure Services Section,within the Corporate Services Bureau. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, theincumbent will provide administrativeand operational support for a variety of facilities functions, includingprocessing maintenance and repair requests, coordinating service calls,maintaining facilities records, and assisting with the scheduling and trackingof facilities-related work. The Facilities Clerk will prepare correspondence,reports, and other documentation, maintain accurate files and databases, liaisewith internal stakeholders and external vendors, and help ensure the efficientdelivery of facilities services. The successful candidate will exercise soundjudgment, demonstrate robust organizational skills, and work effectively withinestablished policies, procedures, and service standards.Schedule / Hours of WorkThe anticipated workschedule for the base full time position is 35 hours a week. Please note, thehours are subject to change based on operational needs and adherence to theCollective Agreement.RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares, formats,



and maintains avariety of facilities-related correspondence, reports, work orders, records,spreadsheets, and other documentation.Receives, processes, and tracksfacilities maintenance and repair requests, ensuring requests are accuratelydocumented and routed for action.Maintains accurate records, files,inventories, floor plans, service logs, schedules, and other facilities-relatedinformation in both electronic and hard copy formats.Assists with scheduling maintenance, inspections, preventative maintenance activities, contractor visits, andservice appointments.Liaises with internal staff, externalvendors, contractors, and service providers to coordinate facilities-relatedservices and follow up on outstanding requests.Monitors and updates facilitiesdatabases and tracking systems to ensure records are current, complete, andaccurate.Responds to inquiries from staff andexternal stakeholders regarding facilities requests, procedures, and services,escalating issues as appropriate.Assists with purchasing and inventorycontrol for facilities supplies, equipment, and materials, includingmaintaining inventory records and processing related documentation.Operates a variety of office equipmentand utilizes applicable software applications and facilities managementsystems.Provides administrative support to theFacilities team, including preparing meeting materials, maintaining calendars,and assisting with special projects as assigned.Assists other staff with departmentalfunctions as required.Performsrelated duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSCompletion of Grade 12, supplemented by severalcourses in word processing,
