AiRS Program Society is a registered charity that brings professional artists into public elementary schools through long-term artist residencies. Working in partnership with schools, artists, and communities, we create meaningful opportunities for children to engage with the arts while supporting artists in their qualified practice. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality arts education, regardless of their background or circumstances.

We are seeking an experienced and committed individual to join our Board of Directors.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience serving on a charitable or non-profit board and expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Finance or accounting


• Business or organizational leadership


• Strategic planning


• Governance or legal expertise


• Fundraising or philanthropy

A passion for the arts, public education, or community engagement is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and help guide the organizations long-term direction.


• Support sound governance and fiscal oversight.






• Contribute professional expertise to strengthen organizational decision-making.


• Act as an ambassador for AiRS and support its mission within the community.


• Participate actively in board discussions and decision-making.

Commitment

This is a volunteer position requiring approximately 6–8 board meetings per year, with occasional committee work or special meetings as needed.
