Help shape the future of arts education.
AiRS Program Society is a registered charity that brings professional artists into public elementary schools through long-term artist residencies. Working in partnership with schools, artists, and communities, we create meaningful opportunities for children to engage with the arts while supporting artists in their qualified practice. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality arts education, regardless of their background or circumstances.
We are seeking an experienced and committed individual to join our Board of Directors.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience serving on a charitable or non-profit board and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
A passion for the arts, public education, or community engagement is an asset.
This is a volunteer position requiring approximately 6–8 board meetings per year, with occasional committee work or special meetings as needed.
AiRS values collaborative leadership and consensus-based decision-making. We strive to create an environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed, respected, and thoughtfully considered.
We are committed to building a board that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We welcome applicants with a broad range of lived experiences and professional backgrounds across the arts, education, business, and non-profit sectors. We strongly encourage applications from First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, Black and racialized individuals, people with disabilities, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and members of other equity-deserving communities.
Join us in helping ensure that every child has access to transformative arts experiences in their school.
