Become an integral part of Halton Healthcare as a Maternal Newborn Nurse. This temporary full-time role requires perinatal expertise while providing essential care during labor and delivery.
As a registered nurse in the MD Obstetrics LDRP department, you will work with pregnant women through labor and delivery experiences, both vaginal and Caesarean. Your skills in prenatal assessment and postpartum care will shape family-centered experiences, all within a supportive and child-friendly workplace at the Milton location.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide prenatal assessment and labor triage
• Assist in operative births within a supportive unit
• Manage care in postpartum and newborn settings
• Perform vaginal exams and venipuncture accurately
• Support breastfeeding mothers and their newborns
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 2 years of recent perinatal experience
• Certification in Basic Life Support required
• Competency in obstetric procedures needed
• Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
