What you'll do
- Prioritize and execute tasks throughout the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine software requirements
- Create applications and tools using clean, efficient code
- Automate tasks through scripting and appropriate tools
- Analyze and debug existing systems
- Conduct validation and verification testing following a test-driven approach
- Participate in code reviews for both your work and that of peers
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to improve products
- Ensure software components are current with the latest technologies
Requirements
- Proven ability to write scalable, clean Java code
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Deep understanding of relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL
- Strong background in developing RESTful API endpoints
- Working knowledge and enthusiasm for Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Proficiency with GIT
- Experience using system and performance monitoring tools such as New Relic or DataDog
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or RestAssured
- Excellent organizational, critical-thinking, and leadership abilities
- Self-motivated with the capacity to deliver results with minimal oversight
- Adaptability and openness to learning new concepts
- Collaborative team player
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience as a skilled Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Nice to have
- Experience with UI development frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular)
- Knowledge of React, Selenium automation, and cloud platforms
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio
- Familiarity with Ansible
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of Linux and IP networking
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud services or similar
- Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
- Experience working on a SaaS product
- Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Groovy
- On-call experience with production systems
- Mentorship experience in a qualified setting
- Use of Generative AI Code Assistants (e.g., Github Copilot) and knowledge of current Generative AI Model capabilities

Practical notes
