Haventree exists to be a catalyst of financial security and upward mobility for Canadians who are underserved by the traditional financial system.Position SummaryReporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Director – Credit Decisioning & Risk Strategy is accountable for the design, oversight, and continuous evolution of the Bank's credit decision frameworks, credit risk policies, and portfolio risk strategy across mortgage origination and account management activities. The role provides senior leadership of forward-looking credit risk management, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and strategic growth objectives.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesOwn and evolve credit decision strategies, frameworks, and methodologies across the mortgage lifecycle.Design, approve, and optimize automated and risk-based decisioning strategies, including rules, scorecards,



and analytics.Maintain ownership of Residential Mortgage Underwriting Policy and ensure regulatory alignment.Chair and drive the Credit Risk Committee and related governance forums.Oversee portfolio monitoring, concentration analysis, dashboards, and KRIs.Provide senior oversight of Quality Assurance programs aligned to decision quality.Translate credit analytics and model outputs into actionable risk insights.Partner with Operations, Finance, Compliance, ERM, and Technology teams on credit initiatives.Mentor and provide strategic leadership to credit strategy and insights teams.Mortgage collections, delinquency management, or default resolution.Recoveries, legal enforcement, or loss mitigation execution.Day-to-day servicing or arrears operations.Qualifications & ExperienceDegrees, Diplomas & CertificationsUniversity degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Math, Statistics, or related discipline.Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job10+ years of experience in Consumer (secured & unsecured) Credit Risk Management.7+ years of senior leadership and people management experience.Strong experience with automated decisioning, analytics, and regulatory governance.Equal Chance StatementHaventree Bank embraces equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion.
