What you’ll do
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis to ensure timely reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that support operational decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Support the external audit process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors to facilitate a smooth review.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and long-term planning efforts.
- Train and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Assist in the implementation of current accounting software and systems to enhance reporting capabilities and streamline processes.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management to support decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure the company maintains adequate liquidity for operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that require financial expertise, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Robust knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Proven experience in managing month-end close processes and preparing financial statements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a rapid-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues.

- Experience in the technology sector or a fast-growing company is advantageous.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
