Sport builds on a rich athletic tradition of excellence and a commitment to providing a supportive high-performance environment for student-athletes.The Mustangs Sports Program is responsible for the development, implementation, assessment and management of varsity sports, team and student athlete specific programs for 46 Mustangs teams. Additionally, Mustangs Sports provides student-athlete supports, resources and leadership; coaching support, education and development; alumni engagement and partnership development.ResponsibilitiesMustangs Sports oversees and is accountable for the varsity and sport club sport programs, helping the University continue to meet the evolving needs of the student athlete experience. The Assistant Coach, under the direction of the Head Coach and Sports & Recreation Leadership, is responsible for supporting strengthening programming to provide a supportive high-performance environment for student athletes and focus on safe sport and the specific needs of student athletes.QualificationsThe successful candidates will have previous experience coaching and leading sport programs in a high standard of academic and sport performance environment.CPR Certification & First Aid Training is an asset.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated sport specific knowledge and education and experienceDemonstrated ability to work well with others particularly in a leadership capacityAbility to foster teamwork and encourage team members to learn from each otherAbility to maintain a positive,
