With a strong, active and familial culture, Pub United is the agency's social club, hosting events as wide reaching as Curling, Trivia Nights and more.OverviewThe VP Client Lead (CRM) will provide strategic oversight and direction on all client marketing activities for a group of accounts and help drive business growth by unlocking client's business opportunities.The VP Client Lead (CRM) will lead a team and be accountable for the realization of a major client. They are the key contact to senior clients and are responsible for all day-to-day operations and integration between the various Publicis divisions. The entire agency team, including the client services, creative, production and development departments, will rely on the VP Client Lead's expertise and leadership throughout projects to assure appropriate distribution of resources, fluid communication, meeting deadlines and achieving clients' business objectives and KPIs.ResponsibilitiesAccount LeadershipAware of overall status of all account activity but not necessarily all the detailsKey contact person for strategic or broader business issues consultationFocuses on major issues of strategic importanceKeeps things moving both within the agency and at the clientWork collaboratively within an inter-agency team (IAT) environment, coordinating with agency partners across disciplines to deliver integrated, cohesive marketing solutionsLeads an integrated and motivated team around client objectives ensuring that teams are skilled up and resourced appropriately.Ensures realistic timelines are being set – is clear and precise about next stepsAlways strives for decisions and resolutionOverall responsibility for maintaining agency standards and levels of serviceInitiates significant actions to improve agency's or client's businessIdentifies opportunities for and enables integration among Publicis divisionsKeeps agency management up-to-date on big picture account issues and opportunitiesMakes tactical use of senior Publicis management to influence clientClient Relationship ManagementHas a solid grasp of where agency work fits into client's total operation – views client's business from broadest perspective possibleUnderstand the client's business thoroughly - understand global issues as well as marketing issuesWorks with client in developing long-range marketing & communications plans, wherever possibleIdentifies key players in client organization and focuses selling efforts on key decision-makersBuilds support by involving multiple client contacts in appropriate stages of strategy development, decision making and executionManages team to ensure they also build strong relationships with their counterparts to deliver outstanding client service.Financial ManagementDevelops accurate project estimates, with input from extended team members (creative, project management, analytics, development, etc.)Reviews and approves estimates developed by direct reports, prior to sending to clientCo-ordinates with finance, when required, to ensure they have a copy of approve estimates, invoices are sent in a timely manner and that bills are paid when dueReports percent complete to finance each month, for revenue trackingLeads development annual SOW, with input from extended team and EVP MentorshipDelivers Performance Development reviews including development plans for direct reports; provide coaching to direct reports on a variety of topics on an ongoing basis.Provides explicit direction to Account teamProvide stimulus for new solutions to business problemsAssign responsibilities and accountabilityAdopt a teacher/mentor roleInstills teamwork and unityManages conflictTrains and develops direct reports Strategic ManagementDelivers innovative and ambitious, strategic solutions that balance client and agency values working closely with colleagues and clients.Works with clients to define objective, set KPIs and ensure these are met.Involved in/inputs on all major business decisions; position/strategic discussions, meetings, research, recommendationsManages client relationship, contracts, financial issuesIdentifies business development opportunities (current and new clients) - use knowledge of agency products and services to influence and contribute to innovative, ambitious and value drive solutionsQualifications12+ years of progressive CRM account management experience, including a minimum of 4 years leading teams in an agency environmentProven leadership in CRM platform and marketing automation, including email, push, MMS,
and SMSStrong experience in cross-channel CRM marketing and the development of complex, multi-touch customer journeysDemonstrated ability to motivate teams and lead the development of hyper-personalized, creative storytellingDeep expertise in testing strategies, segmentation, and optimizationAbility to articulate strategic communications plans and develop recommendations that address client needs and challengesStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to instill confidence and manage expectations internally and externallyExperience supporting current business efforts at the network or brand levelConsistent track record of client satisfaction and team performanceStrong financial acumen, with experience managing the overall financial health of accountsSolid understanding of project management, planning, and creative production processesHighly collaborative, with a strong ability to build positive, professional relationships across all levels of the organizationEffective negotiation skillsCreative, strategic, and conceptual thinker with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approachStrong people leadership and team management skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise, delegate, and mentor staffAdditional informationSalaryTransparency matters to us. The salary for this position is $180K per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications.
