In this role, you will:

• Lead design and implementation of highly scalable products and solutions with clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.


• Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements and work toward their adoption.


• Assist in supporting production systems, investigating issues and driving resolutions.


• Exercise creativity and provide alternative solutions, removing roadblocks and driving issues to closure.






• Create and update documentation to share knowledge across the team.


• Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique the work of yourself and others.


• Collaborate on user story creation with the team and product managers.


• Work closely with Senior and Principal Developers and the Product Manager to find effective solutions to problems.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.


• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.


• Experience developing with modern programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.


• Proficiency in designing and building REST and gRPC APIs and applying object-oriented programming principles (e.g., SOLID, Domain-Driven Design).

Preferred qualifications

• Bilingual in French and English.


• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).


• Experience with both relational and non-relational data stores.


• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies, Git source control,
  
  
  
  and familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog).


• Demonstrated ability to design and architect moderately complex, distributed systems.


• Experience working in an Agile team environment and supporting applications in production, including debugging and troubleshooting.

Offer: The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $108,500 to $152,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $173,500 based on ongoing performance.
