Dease Lake is a small community of about 400 residents, located just a few hours south of the Yukon border. It serves as a common stop for fuel, food, and a rest break during long road trips. Despite its remoteness, Dease Lake offers amenities including a K-12 school, a Northern Lights College Campus, government services, police and fire hall, and various businesses. The Stikine region, encompassing 153,600 sq. km., is renowned for its pristine wilderness and is home to the Stikine River, one of North America's last free-flowing wilderness rivers. The area's economy is primarily driven by mining, with guiding outfits supporting hunting and fishing activities. We are open to covering shifts of any length, from weekends to several weeks or months, depending on interest.
