Canadian Pacific Railway has released a notification in which they're inviting candidates for the post of Manager, Signal Design. A solid grasp of the duties and responsibilities is mandatory for candidates, and they must strive for high performance. They will be expected to provide CPKC with effective secure design and implementation of internally and externally funded railway projects. They are responsible for including wayside signal and train control, highway crossing design, automation and electronic design for IoT related technologies, asset management functions, processor based controllers and application software for embedded controllers or other related projects. They will manage a design team and oversee the conceptual and detailed engineering designs for signal related projects and ad-hoc/emergent work.Employer Name: Canadian Pacific RailwayPosition: Manager, Signal DesignNo. of vacancies: 1Salary: $135,591 per yearEmployment Type: Full timeLocation: Calgary, AlbertaCandidates will oversee and manage the execution of assigned projects and deliver projects within defined scope, on time and on budget.They will oversee and manage designs of assigned projects.They will provide direction and oversight to engineering consultants working on CPKC projects.They will assist in preparing cost estimates,



memos, technical reports and external correspondence.Job requirementCandidates must have a bachelor degree in Engineering – Electrical or equivalent experience.They must be P.Eng or equivalent experience.They must have a valid driver's license.They must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience (co-op experience considered, and 10-20 years in signals would be an asset).They must have the knowledge of industrial electronics or microprocessors would be an asset.Work settingCandidates must have the ability to provide safety leadership through safety audits.They must have the ability to provide on-call support and response on a rotating cycle for incidents and emergencies to support CPKC's 24/7 operation.They must require travel when necessary to visit project sites and manage on site work.Candidates will be provided with a flexible and competitive benefits package.They will be given access to a competitive company pension plan.They will be granted the Employee Share Purchase Plan.They will be included in the Performance Incentive Program.They will be offered an Annual Fitness Subsidy.They will be eligible for the Part-time Studies Program. #J-18808-Ljbffr
