Aperçu The Senior Human Resources Business Partner will provide comprehensive HR leadership to the Jones Group and Hussmann Cambridge Sales Office, supporting an employee population of approximately 130 to 150 employees, including both union and non‑union staff. The role involves regular travel to all associated sites across Canada and reports directly to the Corporate Human Resources Manager. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Vancouver, BC area.ResponsabilitésServe as a strategic business advisor to organizational leaders, providing guidance on organizational design and effectiveness, talent and performance management, total rewards, workforce planning, change management, employee/union relations, employee engagement, and leadership development.Develop organizational strategies by identifying and analysing HR issues, providing data‑driven insights and recommendations to inform strategic direction, and establishing HR objectives that align with overall organisational goals.Develop and execute a comprehensive talent‑management strategy aligned with business objectives, including organisational design, succession planning, high‑potential identification and development, talent retention and strategic talent acquisition.Ensure the fair and consistent interpretation and application of company policies, practices, procedures, and leave administration to support a positive and compliant work environment.Oversee labour and employee relations for the facility, including contract administration.Assess training needs across the site and proactively facilitate the development of knowledge, skills, and abilities required to support evolving business needs; serve as a changeagentby leading and enabling the successful implementation of current initiatives.Drive employee and organisational engagement to strengthen culture, enhance performance,
and support overall business success.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s preferred.Experience: 8‑12+ years of progressive HR experience.Knowledge of Canadian law: Understanding of federal and provincial employment standards, labour laws, and occupational health and safety regulations.Core skills: Proficiency in recruitment and selection, employee relations, unionised environments/collective bargaining agreements, compensation and benefits, payroll, training and development, HR technology/systems, and organisational change management.Soft skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, discretion, and influencing/negotiating abilities.Certification: Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred.Languages: English required; French preferred.Travel: Up to 30% (Burnaby, Parksville, Victoria, and Cambridge).The salary range for this role is $80,231 – $133,718 annually, which is only one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may qualify for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
