As Junior Apparel Designer at Westbeach, you'll support the design and development of men's and women's premium apparel across performance, lifestyle, and outerwear categories. Working closely with our design team you'll help execute seasonal collections, manage carryovers, and develop foundational product categories like core tees and everyday styles. This is a hands‑on role. You'll be in the details every day: building CADs, updating line sheets, prepping tech pack inputs, and sitting in on fit sessions. You'll learn Westbeach's brand codes and product standards from the inside while contributing real work to every collection. What You'll Do Design Execution: Support the creation and execution of seasonal collections across men's and women's apparel. Translate design direction into accurate sketches, CAD drawings, and design documentation. Carryovers and Seasonal Lifts: Manage colour, materials, trims, graphics, and design updates on carryover styles under the direction of design leadership. Tech Pack and Development Support: Prepare design intent for tech packs and BOM inputs in partnership with design and development. Maintain accurate line sheets, trim callouts, and colour updates. Fit and Review Support: Participate in fit sessions and design reviews, documenting updates and supporting revisions. Research and Trend Awareness: Research fabrics, trims, and construction references to support new product development.



Maintain awareness of market trends, cultural signals, and customer insights to keep product relevant. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across garment development, materials, merchandising, and design operations to support smooth seasonal execution. Maintain organized design files and seasonal documentation for internal teams and factory partners. What We're Looking For 2-3 years of experience in apparel design or product design. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Experience working on apparel collections, preferably in lifestyle, athletic, or technical product categories. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and design CAD creation. Working knowledge of garment construction and pattern basics. Strong attention to detail and organized approach to managing multiple styles and projects simultaneously.
