Be a catalyst for change as a Youth Peer Support Worker, providing vital support to ages 13-24 in Fraser Health. Leverage your personal experience to empower youth through recovery-oriented initiatives.In this agile role, you will engage with youth in both one-on-one and group settings, facilitating workshops and navigating community resources. Your focus will be on building supportive relationships, enhancing self-advocacy, and promoting well-being. Working collaboratively within teams,



you'll maintain a trauma-informed approach throughout all interactions while ensuring ethical peer support practices.Key Responsibilities:- Support youth with emotional encouragement and goal setting- Facilitate group activities to enhance social connection- Document services in compliance with standards- Assist in problem-solving and navigating services- Identify critical incidents promptlyRequirements:- Diploma in human or social services field- One year of peer support experience- Lived experience with mental health or substance use- Criminal Record Check and valid Driver’s License required- Strong organizational and interpersonal skillsUse your lived experience to build resilience and empower the youth of Fraser Health, ensuring safe and supportive environments.#J-18808-Ljbffr
