The Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation is seeking motivated individuals aged 18-30 for full-time internships. Available positions include Animal Care Worker, Educational Assistant, and Service Dispatcher, all varying from 8 to 16 weeks. Interns will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and education of wildlife, supporting efforts that impact over 2,000 animals annually.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with animal care duties and feeding activities
• Lead educational outreach and wildlife programs
• Answer hotline calls and coordinate rescue operations
• Prepare educational materials and social media posts
• Maintain patient records and help with facility tasks
Requirements:
• Aged 18 to 30 at the job start date
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and vehicle access
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented and adaptable in variable environments
• Tetanus vaccination is a must; rabies is a bonus
