Elevate Indigenous education with L’nu Sipuk Kina’muokuom as the Cultural Education Lead. This full time role focuses on outdoor learning, cultural integration, and community engagement. As a Cultural Education Lead, you will guide students through Mi'kmaw ways of knowing and environmental curriculum while nurturing a secure and inclusive learning environment.
Your leadership will extend beyond the classroom to foster community connections and organize school-wide cultural events. This impactful role reports directly to the School Principal, ensuring alignment with educational standards and cultural practices. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Mi'kmaw-aligned instruction in outdoor settings
Assess student projects and facilitate IPPs when needed
Organize cultural events and community involvement initiatives
Maintain accurate attendance and student records
Ensure a welcoming classroom and outdoor learning environment Requirements:
Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate
Experience in Lands-Based or Outdoor Education preferred
Deep knowledge of Mi'kmaw culture and traditions
Solid independent leadership skills and ethical judgment
