Operations & Maintenance Technician I - Jamestown, CA Join IHI Power Services Corp. as an Operations & Maintenance Technician I at our Jamestown, CA facility. We offer a competitive salary range of $29.78 to $36.10 per hour , negotiable based on experience.
Job Summary: Responsible for fuels management, equipment operation, and monitoring. Conducts daily plant operations and maintenance, supporting plant systems and ensuring safety and efficiency. Reports to the O&M; Manager, with possible reporting to the Compliance or Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Operate and secure equipment under normal and emergency conditions.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues; perform inspections and maintenance.
Maintain logs of operations and report irregularities.
Ensure safety protocols are followed; identify hazards.
Assist with fuel system maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and plant repairs.
Participate in outage maintenance and coordinate with contractors.
Adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies.
Qualifications:



High School diploma or equivalent; relevant experience considered.
Completion of pre-employment testing and background checks.
Ability to perform physical tasks; computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
Valid driver’s license required.
Skills & Abilities: Basic math, communication skills, proficiency with tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety practices in power plant operations.
Work Workplace & Physical Demands: Use of protective gear; working indoors and outdoors.
10-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays; on-call may be required.
Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, work in elevated/confined spaces.
