As a Registered Nurse (RN) reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, you will provide direct care to seniors and maintain up-to-date documentation per Extendicare standards.
Expected tasks include managing care plans, supervising medication distribution, and supporting family education—essential for optimal resident health delivery. Key Responsibilities:
Complete and update residents' care assessments and documentation
Assist in scheduling and participating in care conferences
Order and secure medication and narcotics safely
Supervise and delegate tasks to unregulated care providers
Manage emergency responses in the absence of leadership Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse registration in applicable Province/State
Experience with seniors and unregulated care providers
Solid communication and critical thinking skills
Knowledge of gerontology or long-term care
