We are seeking a dedicated casual Environmental Services Attendant to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across our facility. This role is vital in ensuring a secure, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience in healthcare or Long-Term Care home settings is a plus but not required.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean and safe environment while working within a supportive team. This is an existing position.
Duties
Complies with health and safety legislations and departmental protected job procedures
Uses or wears protective equipment as required
Reports malfunctioning equipment as required
Adheres to strict hand washing practices
Performs housekeeping duties, preventative cleaning tasks and assigned custodial duties in all areas ensuring the facility meets the environmental safety needs of residents and all others
Maintains resident/client information confidential
Completes all other tasks as assigned
Skills
Previous Long Term Care experience preferred
Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and cleanliness
Ability to work independently and efficiently within assigned areas
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting issues
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
